Dock Worker (part-time) - FedEx - Gibsonia

Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers. Also:

• Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including but not limited to: forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Verify documentation matches freight description (e.g. type, weight, hazardous materials), using current electronic or manual system.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g. pallets, straps, rope).
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
• Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
• Follows Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift. Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed.

Shipping/Receiving Clerk will be assisting in the operation of kit pulling, receiving incoming material from production and packaging product of inventory to be shipped. Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40-50 pounds.
