Pittsburgh-Area Police Vehicle Collision: Latest Details

PITTSBURGH, PA — A Pittsburgh-area police officer was injured Tuesday after a two-vehicle collision on Lincoln Highway in North Versailles.

At 3:47 p.m, county 911 was notified of the crash.

The North Versailles Police Officer was responding to a medical emergency with their emergency lights and siren activated. A vehicle pulled out in front of the police vehicle and was struck. The driver of the vehicle and a child passenger were taken to a nearby hospital and are in stable condition. The officer was also taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

Detectives are initiating the investigation.
