PITTSBURGH, PA — Pittsburgh restaurateur and real estate executive Herky Pollock and his partners are about to unveil a new restaurant: Palm Palm, which will open July 6 on Centre Avenue in Eastside.

Pollock is known for his involvement in the Pittsburgh chains Burgatory and Shorty's, as well as the well-received Ritual House, Downtown.

Herky Pollock, his wife Lisa Pollock and Chef Ed and Amanda Smith say the eatery's concept is an ode to Palm Springs and Palm Beach. The menu will feature shareable plates of coastal cuisine influenced by California and South America.

The restaurant will feature the photography of Slim Aaron, a hand-painted mural by Daniel Bland and larger-than-life photographs by Peter Thomas. There will be two private dining rooms in the kitchen to offer close-up views of the cooking action. There's also a patio outside.

Palm Palm’s menu will rotate seasonally with guests' core favorites always available. For the July 6th opening, diners can expect dishes such as sushi tots, big eye tuna, cucumber scallion and street corn taquitos.
