Winter Storm Headed To Pittsburgh: See Latest Forecast Here

PITTSBURGH, PA — Get out the parka and have the shovel handy. It's going to be a wintry weekend in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania.

The National Weather Service says that in the Pittsburgh metro area, snow showers can be expected to begin after 1 p.m. on Saturday. New snow accumulation of about an inch is possible.

The snow will intensify on Saturday night, with further accumulations of two to four inches possible.

Another half-inch of snow is possible on Sunday.

A blast of cold air will accompany the snow and will linger into early next week. The high temperature on Sunday is only expected to reach 20, while the high on Monday. Temperatures are expected to rebound to a balmy 32 on Tuesday.
