A Parade, Meetings and a Movie, This Week

Check out a few events happening in the Plymouth-Whitemarsh area this week.

  • Whitemarsh Township’s Park and Recreation Department will host a movie in the park featuring “Lincoln” on Friday, Aug. 9 at 9 p.m. at Hope Lodge at 553 South Bethlehem Pike in Fort Washington. Bring a beach chair or blanket and bug spray. The event is free.

  

  • Conshohocken will honor this year’s All-American Soapbox Derby champions with a parade on Monday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. on Fayette Street from Elm Street to 11th Avenue. Erin Donavon won the World Rally Stock division and Natalie Burkert won the Super Stock division.

 

  • Conshohocken will hold its council workshop meeting and its zoning hearing ordinance meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 7 staring at 7 p.m.

  • Whitemarsh will hold its Park and Recreation Board meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. at Koontz Park on Harts Lane; its Shade Tree Commission meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. at the township building; and its zoning hearing board meeting Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. at the township building.
