The Colonial School District Staffer Who Died From COVID-19 Was 33-Year-Old Aide
Brittany Lauderback, 33, a teacher's aide at Colonial Elementary School, passed away this past weekend from COVID-19. Schools closed Monday.

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA - The Colonial School District employee who died from COVID-19 this past weekend has been identified as 33-year-old Brittany Lauderback, who worked as a teacher's aide at Colonial Elementary School.
Lauderback's death was reported in local media and was confirmed in social posts by her husband, Matt Lauderback.
On his Facebook page on Monday, Matt Lauderback wrote: "I lost my love, my light yesterday. But I will remain strong, because that is what Britt would want me to do, along the outpour of support from family and friends. Which has been amazing. With tears streaming down my face as I type, I know we made each other better people, and our time together was short, but I would NEVER change a thing."

The couple also reportedly started a podcast together during the pandemic titled "Saved By The Credits."
According to a report on 6 ABC Action News, Matt Lauderback said his wife had tested positive for COVID-19 about a week ago and spent some time in the emergency room receiving treatment before succumbing to the virus on Jan. 2.
