Proposed 54th Legislative District Would Consist Of Norristown, Plymouth & Conshohocken

A proposed new legislative district - the 54th - would consist of Norristown Borough, Conshohocken Borough and Plymouth Township.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — There is a strong possibility that the borough of Norristown, Plymouth Township and Conshohocken Borough would be joined together under a new proposed legislative district — tentatively called the 54th District — under a redistricting proposal currently playing out in the commonwealth.

Currently, Norristown and some of Plymouth Township are included in the 70th Legislative District, which is now represented by Democratic State Rep. Matthew Bradford, while the Borough of Conshohocken and the rest of Plymouth Township are part of the 148th Legislative District represented by Democratic State Rep. Mary Jo Daley.

The website More Than The Curve recently took a look at who may throw their hat in the running for the 54th Legislative District if the redistricting plan moves forward.
