
The Colonial School Board at a special meeting Thursday appointed a new Plymouth Elementary School Principal.
The board hired Rosemarie Gregitis, who comes to Colonial from the Upper Darby School District where she served as principal of the Charles Kelly Elementary School for the past three years, including one year as interim principal at CKES and the district’s kindergarten center. Gregitis has extensive experience as a reading specialist, instructional support teacher, kindergarten and elementary classroom teacher and literacy coach.
Gregitis will replace the retiring Judi Lipson, who has been with the Colonial School District for 23 years, including 21 years as principal of Plymouth Elementary School.

“I am thrilled to join the Colonial School District administrative team and am looking forward to working with the fabulous staff at Plymouth Elementary School,” Gregitis said in a Thursday press release.
Gregitis holds a bachelor’s degree from West Chester University and a master’s degree and principals’ and supervision certifications from St. Joseph’s University.
