Philly Man Arrested for Alleged Crystal Meth Possession

Whitemarsh Police arrested the man following a traffic stop.

Whitemarsh Police arrested a 29-year-old man after he was found to have several bags of crystal meth in his possession, police said.

Christopher J. Antrim, of the 500 block of Lantern Lane, was arrested on Friday shortly before 11 p.m. following a traffic stop near the corner of Ridge Pike and Joshua Road in which he was a passenger. According to police, the vehicle was stopped because its registration was suspended due to insurance cancellation.

Following a search, police found a white plastic bag on the back seat containing seven individual Ziploc baggies; each contained various amounts of confirmed crystal meth, police said. Antrim, who was sitting in the back seat, appeared to be under the influence, and admitted that the bag was his. He also had two baggies of confirmed crystal meth in his possession, as well as two white pills, later determined to be Lorazepam.
