Several Cited for Soliciting
Whitemarsh Police cited five people after they were peddling in the township without a permit; none of them is local.

Whitemarsh Police cited several people after they were pushing magazine subscriptions in a residential area without a permit, police said.
According to police, five people, who said they were working for the company "Certified Management Inc.," were going door-to-door in the area of the 2300 block of Pine Ridge Road on June 18 at about 8 p.m.
Employees of the company had been given several warnings earlier in the day about soliciting without a permit, police said.

One of the employees, an 18-year-old man from Tucson, Ariz., was transported to police headquarters to await a ride from his boss. Later, police rounded up three more of his co-workers — a 22-year-old woman from Mabelvale Pulas, Ariz.; a 19-year-old man from Riverdale, Ga.; and a 21-year-old man from Miami — and brought them to police headquarters.
The workers’ boss, a 38-year-old man from Champaign, Ill., was then instructed to come to the station to pick up his employees.
