South Philly's Beloved Angelo's Pizzeria To Open In Conshohocken

One of the region's most renowned and respected cheesesteak joints is coming to Montgomery County.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — South Philadelphia's renowned Angelo's Pizzeria is expanding into the suburbs with a new eatery planned in Conshohocken, owners announced this week.

The beloved and straightforward eatery will take over the former location of the Conshohocken Bakery, which shut down after more than 50 years last October.

Angelo's already uses the old bakery to bake its bread.

Angelo's is also opening a second new shop in south Jersey at the location of another legendary establishment that has closed, Di Nic's Oven Roasted Beef in Mt. Ephraim.

An estimated opening date for either location has not yet been confirmed.

It's the second announcement regarding a major cheesesteak shop moving into Conshohocken, as another classic Philly staple, Delco's Pop's Steaks, is coming to the intersection of E. 1st Avenue and Fayette Street.
