Whitemarsh Township Man Gets Prison Time For Possessing Child Pornography

Jorvan Axel Ramos-Martinez, 24, of Whitemarsh Township, will be heading to prison after pleading guilty to child pornography possession.

WHITEMARSH, PA — A local man will be spending some time in the county prison after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography.

Jorvan Axel Ramos-Martinez, 24, could be spending up to two years at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after he admitted that he possessed child porn, according to court records and media reports.

Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge Henry S. Hilles, III ordered Ramos-Martinez to spend between 11-and-one-half and 23 months in county jail after the defendant pleaded guilty to two counts of child pornography possession, court records show.

Ramos-Martinez was also given three years' probation and he must comply with sex offender registration requirements.

Authorities began investigating Ramos-Martinez in late 2020 after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the uploading of 47 child porn digital files to a Dropbox account linked to Ramos-Martinez, according to an article in the Mercury newspaper of Pottstown.

The images showed girls between the ages of infancy and 8 years old involved in various sex acts of poses, according to the Mercury article.

Detectives ultimately uncovered more than 660 digital files of underage girls involved in sexual acts, the newspaper reported.
