Whitemarsh Township Says Incorrect Millage Rates Were Included On Latest Home Tax Bills
The township says that the agency that collects property taxes will send out a second bill to make up the difference between the rates.

WHITEMARSH, PA — Property owners in the township are being made aware of a discrepancy showing up on the most recent real estate tax bills.
Whitemarsh Township announced on Tuesday that the most recent Montgomery County and municipal property tax bills that were mailed at the beginning of the month had an incorrect millage amount for the county portion of the tax bill.
The section on the tax bill listed as 'county real estate' reflected 3.632 mills when the actual millage should have been 3.923, meaning property owners will be on the hook for making up the difference.
