Rachel Page Laird, of Gilbertsville, faces extradition to Arizona on charges of prostitution and related offenses in connection with 'Operation Goddess Temple.'

A Gilbertsville woman is facing extradition to Arizona on charges of prostitution and related offenses, after she was captured by the Pennsylvania State Police during a traffic stop in Collegeville.
Rachel Page Laird, of Gilbertsville, was stopped near the intersection of Main Street and First Avenue around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Police then discovered that Laird had a warrant for prostitution-related offenses in Maricopa County, Arizona, with full extradition.
According to reports, Laird was one 33 individuals arrested during "Operation Goddess Temple", which took place during the summer of 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona. Authorities allege that practitioners at the Phoenix Goddess Temple engaged in acts of prostitution, which they disguised as "spiritual healing sessions for monetary donations."
