Lower Pottsgrove Girl Scouts Ready to Walk for Psoriasis

The annual Philadelphia walk, which is scheduled for Saturday, seeks to raise money to cure psoriasis.

The Lower Pottsgrove Girl Scouts will don their walking shoes on Saturday morning, as they take to Philadelphia to participate in the Walk to Cure Psoriasis.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Philadelphia Zoo, and both the 1K and 5K walks will begin at 9:30 a.m. The event is free for all ages, though a donation will get you a full-day's access to the zoo. WMMR's Preston Elliot will be emceeing the event.

As of today, the walk has generated $28,698 for psoriasis, which is slightly more than half of their fundraising goal of $53,000.
