MCCC to Announce Partnership with Drexel University Next Week
MCCC and Drexel University will officially sign a partnership agreement making Drexel a University Center partner on Tuesday, March 12 in Pottstown.

Starting later this spring, Drexel University will become the first Montgomery County Community College partner to offer a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at the University Center in Pottstown.
MCCC and Drexel will officially sign into an agreement on Tuesday, March 12, at 3 p.m., making Drexel a University Center partner. The signing will be held in the former AAA building at 95 South Hanover Street, Pottstown.
In addition to the doctoral degree, Drexel will also offer two new master's degrees and several professional development certificates.

“These partnerships are so important in higher education, and they show a great deal of entrepreneurship,” said . “The University Center framework builds crucial pathways by which our students and faculty, and the community at large, can conveniently pursue advanced degrees from our outstanding partner colleges and universities.”
Drexel University joins five existing University Center partners:
- Albright College, which offers programs at MCCC’s campuses in both Blue Bell and Pottstown
- Immaculata University, which offers a doctoral program at MCCC's Central Campus in Blue Bell
- Chestnut Hill College, Temple University and Villanova University, which offer programs at MCCC’s West Campus in Pottstown
Introduced in 2006, the University Center framework allows students to choose from eight bachelor's degrees, four master's degrees, one graduate certificate, two doctoral degrees and several professional development certificates.
