Tax credits fund $500,000 to 8 Montco agencies aiding low-income families (delcotimes.com) — More than $190,000 in state-backed tax-credit funding is headed specifically to Pottstown nonprofits for housing repairs, neighborhood revitalization, and safety upgrades, including grants to low-income homeowners and a security boost on East High Street. Additional awards will support tutoring for Pottstown students and summer camp access for local youth with disabilities, all aimed at stabilizing vulnerable families and improving daily life in town.

Norristown Hospitality Center will soon find itself without a space (thereporteronline.com) — Montgomery County is leasing rooms at a Pottstown hotel as part of a regional push to expand transitional housing, even as Norristown’s key daytime hospitality center faces eviction on Dec. 31 without a new site. The nonprofit’s director warns that losing their current space will cut off vital services for dozens of unhoused residents and is urging county and local officials to help find at least a temporary location.
