Pottstown Area Wawa Sells $2 Million Powerball Ticket On 9/11

Someone bought a Powerball ticket on Saturday that matched 5 of 6 numbers and is worth $2 million in PA Lottery winnings.

POTTSTOWN, PA — A winning $2 million Pennsylvania Lottery ticket was sold on Saturday at the Wawa store near the Coventry mall in the Pottstown area.

The winning Powerball ticket was sold in the Sept. 11 drawing at the Wawa at 260 W. Schuylkill Road, in North Coventry. The purchaser took the Power Play option and matched 5 of the winning numbers drawn: 20-31-38-40-49, but not the red number, 21. Even without the red ball match, the ticket was worth $2 million, the PA Lottery reported.

If the ticket purchase had not included the multiplier Power Play, it would have been worth $1 million.
