Pottstown High School Football Players Noted For High Grades

POTTSTOWN, PA — The Pottstown High School football team showed it knows how to hit the books, with 10 players named to Eastern PA Football's All-Academic Team.

The Pottstown team's classroom performance gained them recognition as team members made five players had grade point averages over 3.8, and another five had GPA's above 3.0.

The EasternPAFootball.com All-Academic Team recognizes high school athletes who demonstrate academic excellence along with their contribution to school sports.

"We are extremely proud of these young men who have made a commitment to excellence both on the field and the classroom. Co-curricular activities like sports support the academic mission of our district and help create a culture of commitment to striving for a goal," Pottstown head coach Jeff Delaney said.

Delaney added, "Our student-athletes are learning that hard work pays off."
