Pottstown Lottery Winnings Go Unclaimed
The owner of the winning ticked had until 7 p.m. yesterday to come forward and claim their $325,000 in winnings.

For the second time in less than three months, a winning lottery ticket that was purchased in Pottstown has gone unclaimed.
Yesterday was the last day for the owner of a winning Cash 5 ticket to claim their $325,000 prize, but according to lottery officials, no one came forward. The ticket was purchased at the , with the winning numbers of 05-09-13-33-35.
With no one to claim the prize, the jackpot will now be added to the Lottery Fund, which is used for support programs that benefit older Pennsylvanians.

"The Pennsylvania Lottery wants all winners to claim their prizes," said Lottery Executive Director Todd Rucci. "That is why it's very important for players to always check their tickets."
Earlier this year, a winning Cash 5 ticket in Pottstown – valued at $330,000 – went unclaimed. That ticket was purchased at Cole's Tobacco on January 27, 2012, with the winning numbers of 14-23-25-33-43. It expired one year after the date of purchase.

In total, Pottstown lottery winners have forfeited $655,000 in winnings this year by allowing their prizes to go unclaimed.
