Second Brigade Helps Military Families
Members of the motorcycle club volunteered to collect donations in Pottstown on Sunday.
The local chapter of the Second Brigade Motorcycle Club on Sunday collected food, clothing, toiletries and money from drivers in the 200 block of High Street.
The donations will be given to families of U.S. military troops serving overseas or killed in the line of duty, said Robin "Cherokee" Gilmore of Boyertown.

"We deliver all these meals on Christmas Eve," he said.
Second Brigade supports military troops and their families year round, Gilmore said.

The group feeds roughly 400 families per week in the Philadelphia metro region and provides therapists for military members suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, he said.
Gilmore said folks driving on High Street Sunday were generous with their donations.
"It's going remarkably well," he said. "We are really, really pleasantly surprised."
