Theft, Vehicle Crash Reported in North Coventry

Theft: Police are investigating the theft of a Fed Ex package from a residence on the 900 block of East Schuylkill Road.
The report states that the package was stolen from outside of the residence on Saturday, March 9. Anyone with information relating to this theft is asked to contact the North Coventry Police Department.

Vehicle Accident: On March 9, police responded to the 1500 block of South Hanover Street for a report of a one-vehicle crash.
Witnesses stated that they saw the vehicle – which was operated by Kevin Gibbons, 61, of Glenmoore – swerving in and out of his lane while traveling north on Route 100, according to the report. Gibbons then crossed over the intersection with Hoffecker Road, causing the vehicle to go off the road, strike a guard rail, and overturn while tumbling down the embankment, the report says.

Gibbons was extricated from the vehicle by members of the North Coventry Fire Department, and was transported by Goodwill Ambulance to Reading Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
