Woman Cited Three Times in One Day for Panhandling at Redner's, Police Say
What began as an attempt to solicit money for cigarettes outside of the Pottstown Redner's quickly led to multiple police calls, profanity-laden confrontations, and ultimately, the arrest of a Collegeville woman.

March 29 was not a good day for 22-year-old Julia Fitzhenry, of Collegeville, after her failed attempts to solicit money for cigarettes outside of the Pottstown Redner's led to three police calls, five charges, and ultimately, her arrest.
Police initially responded to a complaint that a woman was attempting to solicit money from customers at the Redner's on the 300 block of High Street. Police encountered the woman – identified as Fitzhenry, of the unit block of Clamer Avenue, Collegeville – at a nearby Sunoco Gas Station, where they observed her asking people for money, the report states.
After being informed that is was illegal to solicit money in the borough, the report states that Fitzhenry became argumentative with police. She stated that she was not harassing anyone, and she just wanted money for cigarettes, according to the report. She was informed that if she continued asking for money, she would be cited, police said.

Moments later, a second officer arrived to the scene, whom Fitzhenry promptly asked for $3, the report states. Upon being told no by the second officer, Fitzhenry reportedly stated that she "could not believe how mean he was," and complained that someone who "is working and making so much" should be able to give her money.
Police then cited Fitzhenry for disorderly conduct - disturbing the peace, and cleared the scene.

A short time later, police were again dispatched to Redner's, after Fitzhenry returned to the store and created a disturbance, police said. The report states that she began to berate the store's manager in front of his employees and customers, stating that the manager was "so mean because (he) doesn't have sex and needs to get laid," adding that he had "a small [expletive]."
Fitzhenry then fled the scene while the manager contacted police, and police were unable to locate her. As a result of the second incident, she was charged with a second count of disorderly conduct - disturbing the peace, as well as an additional charge of harassment. The scene was then cleared, police said.
Fitzhenry returned to the store a third time after police had cleared the second scene, which resulted in a third police call from the store's manager, police said.
Upon arrival, the report states that Fitzhenry stated she went back to apologize to the manager, but told him he had a "little [expletive]" when the manager refused to accept her apology. The manager, however, told police that she simply came back in to complain about having the cops called on her twice, according to the report.
Officers attempted to explain to Fitzhenry that she cannot use profanity in public, at which time she reportedly began to argue with police over the issue by using more profanity. She was then arrested and taken into custody, where she was charged with a third count of disorderly conduct - disturbing the peace, as well as an additional charge of defiant trespasser.
In total, Fitzhenry was charged with three counts of disorderly conduct, one count of harassment and one count of defiant trespass. She was then released from custody, and informed that if she ever returned to Redner's, she would face misdemeanor charges.
