1,000+ Flock To 7th Annual Wayne Music Festival Saturday

"They were dancing, singing, and having a great time," a festival-goer shared.

RADNOR, PA—Thousands of men, women and children were dancing in the streets and enjoying each other’s company as bands from all over the country played music on four stages in downtown Wayne.

The 7th annual Wayne Musical Festival supports the Music is Love Foundation, a Haverford-based nonprofit to raise funds for children’s medical charities.

“Everyone was really into it,” a festival-goer said. “They were dancing, singing, and having a great time. It was a peaceful gathering. I enjoyed every moment of it.”

The sunny skies and warm weather made for a great day to get outside and socialize.

The festival-goers were grateful that air quality in Radnor improved in time for the festival after several days of unhealthy pollution on the Main Line due to smoke from fires in Canada.

By Saturday, the pollution was at a moderate level after being unhealthy level for three days.

Bands played Led Zeppelin, Funk, classical music, and more on four stages.

WXPN radio station, restaurants, businesses, the Philadelphia Phillies, and others sponsored the festival. More than 70 restaurants and vendors provided beverages and food.

The festival was walkable for locals, and parking was available nearby.

Police were on the scene assisting traffic control.
