ACT Results: Compare Local High Schools

Philadelphia's J.R. Masterman ranked at the top of ACT scores again for 2011. Although the school's average cumulative score of 27.6 did drop from 2010's total of 28.44.
Lower Merion’s two high schools, Harriton and Lower Merion, took third and fourth place respectively. Great Valley and Haverford high schools tied at fourth place.
Philadelphia’s Central High School had the most students taking the test with 207 test takers, while Phoenixville had the fewest with only 14.
The ACT is one of the two main standardized tests given to high school student as part of the college admission process. In the Philadelphia area, the SAT tests are more popular, but many still take the ACT.
