Aqua Replacing Water Mains In Radnor
An $894,000 project to replace aging water mains is expected to begin the week of Jan. 9.
RADNOR, PA Aqua Pennsylvania is scheduled to begin Monday, Jan. 9 replacing 3,068 feet of aging water mains with new 4 and 8-inch ductile iron water mains on Poplar Avenue between North Wayne Avenue and Radnor Street Road.
The water mains will also be replaced on Pennsylvania Avenue between Poplar Avenue and Plant Avenue; Plant Avenue between Woodland Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue; and Woodland Avenue between Poplar Avenue and Plant Avenue.
Construction will generally take place weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

During times of construction access will be provided for emergency, mail and trash service. Residents will have access to their properties, but at times will need to enter from different directions due to changing work zones.
The $894,000 project is part of an infrastructure improvement program that replaced more than 41 miles of aging main in Delaware County in 2021 to improve service reliability for customers.

The new water main will reduce the potential for main breaks, discolored water and improve water flow in the area.
