Sidhu, the daughter of Jay Sidhu, a banking executive, developed a desire to work in the finance industry and create something new and different.
Sidhu earned a bachelor’s degree in government from University in 2008 and her MBA from Wharton School of Business in 2013.
When Sidhu has free time, she enjoys being a health and wellness coach, traveler, and lover of life. She is also passionate about making a difference and giving back to her community.
As a woman in a male-dominated industry, Sidhu was the youngest female to take a company public.
She is focused on actions that help propel women in finance—promoting women in leadership roles, creating mentorship opportunities, providing equal pay, and ensuring female voices are represented at the executive leadership level.
According to PwC research, 85% of female millennials prefer working for companies with strong employer policies on diversity and workforce inclusion.
However, 71% of them report that even though companies talk about diversity, the opportunities in the workplace aren’t equal.
“Opportunities for women have come a long way, but there is still much to do for full equality and economic parity,” Sidhu said.
This past year has been pivotal for BM Technologies as it was one of the first neo banking fintechs to go public last year, one of the first to have a profitable business model, and now among the first fintechs embracing a bank charter to create an innovative fintech bank for the future.
Winners of this award comprise a global network of like-minded visionaries, each on a transformational journey to create, innovate, grow, learn and build a better world.
As a Greater Philadelphia award winner, Luvleen will be considered by the national independent panel of judges for the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2022 National Awards.
