Weekend Heat Wave On The Way To Radnor

The comfortable temperatures and low humidity of Thursday will be a thing of the past soon, forecasters predict.

Forecasters from the National Weather Service say heat index values near or above 100 degrees are possible Sunday and Monday. The National Weather Service is tracking the heatwave in a Hazardous Weather Outlook.

Temperatures will start to heat up early in the weekend, with heat index values between 95 and 100 degrees predicted on Saturday.

Here is the forecast, according to the National Weather Service:

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

Friday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 3 am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. South wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
