33rd Annual Manayunk Arts Fest Is June 25-26

The large festival hasn't closed Main Street since 2019 due to COVID, but will be bringing the event back in its original format for 2022.

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA — The 33rdAnnual Manayunk Arts Festival is all set for later this month along Main Street.

The tri-state's largest outdoor, juried arts festival, will take place 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 25 and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 26.

This year's festival will feature fine arts and crafts from across the country, collectors, buyers, and designers.

Due to COVID-19 and social distancing requirements, the large festival hasn’t closed Main Street since 2019, but will be bringing the event back in its original format for 2022.

Manayunk Arts Festival, organized and operated by the Manayunk Development Corporation, is free to the public and will feature artists from seven different disciplines: fiber, glass & ceramics, jewelry, mixed media, painting & drawing, photography, and wood & sculpture.

Visitors can also enjoy food and beverages from Manayunk’s renowned restaurants and cool off by shopping at Manayunk’s unique boutiques and stores.

For the ninth year, local and up-and-coming talent will be featured in the Emerging Artist Tent in its new location at 4215 Main Street, right next door to Riverside Pizza.

More than 30 artists will display their work in the tent throughout the weekend.

"We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing back the Manayunk Arts Festival in full force for our 33rd year,” said Manayunk Development Corporation’s executive director, Gwen McCauley. "Our small business corridor is excited and ready to welcome guests from throughout the Philadelphia area to Main Street for our two-day festival."

To keep with tradition, the Manayunk Arts Festival committee has selected a participating artists’ work to represent the festival in 2022. Florida-based artist, Brenda Gordon, will have her piece, "Bird in Hand," serve as this year’s event brand.

The Manayunk Arts Festival is a rain or shine event — dress accordingly.
