Free BBQ and Everything Else You Need to Know About Wednesday

Here's everything you need to know about Wednesday, July 24.

Free Barbecue: Roxborough Presbyterian will host a free barbecue on Wednesday at 6 p.m.  The barbecue is hosted by by The Philadelphia Project- a Christian non-profit organization committed to the holistic development of the neighboring community in partnership with RPC.

Famous Footwear: The shoe and apparel chain will open its newest location in the Andorra Shopping Center on Wednesday, July 24.

This day in history: On July 24, 1847 Bringham Young led 148 Mormons to what is now Salt Lake City, where they promptly almost died if not for the actions of some very hungry birds.  Also on July 24, 1969, Apollo 11, the first successful manned spacecraft to land on the moon, splashed down safely in the Pacific Ocean.
