Hazardous Material Leak Evacuates Philadelphia School: Reports
A chemical leak in the boiler room of The Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush in Northeast Philadelphia forced the evacuation Thursday.
PHILADELPHIA – A Northeast Philadelphia School was evacuated Thursday due to a hazardous material leak, according to reports.
At about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, the Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush School at 11081 Knights Road was evacuated, Action News reports.
According to CBS Philadelphia, chemicals in the school's boiler room forced the building to be evacuated.
