HBO Show 'Mare Of Easttown' Films In Philadelphia
The Kate Winslet-led program has been shooting in and around Northwest Philadelphia, near Roxborough and Wisshickon Valley Park, recently.

PHILADELPHIA — It seems Hollywood has come back to Philadelphia, with HBO's upcoming program "Mare of Easttown" filming in the northwestern area of the city.
Film crews have been spotted in Wissahickon Valley Park and surrounding neighborhoods such as Roxborough.
Along Forbidden drive Tuesday night, Patch spotted 20 to 30 cars and a few dozen people carrying film gear.

Additionally, Fairmount Park ranger, SUVs, and vehicles done up in the fashion of Easttown Township Police were on scene.
Easttown Township Police said the vehicles belong to HBO and that police have not provided them with any type of equipment.

"Mare of Easttown" stars Kate Winslet of "Titanic" fame and centers around "a small-town Pennsylvania detective whose life crumbles around her as she investigates a local murder."
It was announced the show would film locally in October 2019.
In late 2019, the show was filming at various locations in Chester County.
"Mare of Easttown" is set to premiere in 2020. It's directed by Gavin O'Connor, known for 2016's "The Accountant."
