Innovative Programming leading the way for Shawmont 7th graders

Seventh grade students have elite opportunities on Wednesday afternoons, participating in Model UN or Robotics. The school has a long history of student success at Model UN competitions, but Robotics is a new opportunity for students to engage and design devices. The students have persevered with building challenges and learning coding skills. Students have successfully programmed robotics, and are excited by results and watching them move. Additionally, the students are using higher level critical thinking skills to enable the robots to function.

Shawmont is a K-8th public school. Registration for next school year is currently open.
