Man Exposed Self To Woman In Manayunk Burglary: Police

Philly Police said the man seen here is sought in connection with a Manayunk burglary and indecent exposure incident on New Year's Day.

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA — A man broke into a home and exposed himself to a young woman in the early morning hours of New Year's Day in Manayunk, Philadelphia Police said.

The incident began at about 1:30 a.m. when the victim and another person were walking Cresson Street and Grape Street. A man was following them closely, police said, which led them to quickly head into their residence nearby.

Police said the victim fell asleep on the living room ouch, and at about 1:55 a.m. awoke to see a man standing over her while indecently exposing himself. She yelled, and the man left, police said. After he left, the victim noticed the contents of her purse were emptied on the floor, and police said it appears that only $20 was taken from the purse.

The victim told investigators she believes the person who was inside her residence was the same person who was following her. Police also said the witness was upstairs on the second floor during the incident and had no interaction with the suspect.

The suspect was described as a white, middle-aged man with a dark beard who was wearing a white jacket, white pants, and a white knit hat.
