Manayunk's Stroll The Street Kicks Off Music Month
July is music month during this year's Stroll the Street iteration. Check out what to expect Thursday nights along Main Street.
MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA — Manayunk's popular Stroll the Street weekly event series is kicking of Music Month Thursday night.
Each Thursday in Manayunk, there will be music, movies, vendors, food, and more.
It begins Thursday, July 6.

Vendors, music, food, and more will take over Main Street Manayunk while local businesses and restaurants will host sales, specials, and promotions.
July 13 will be Music Stroll + Movie Night.

That night, attendees can catch musicians highlighting a variety of genres and instruments all along Main Street.
Manayunk will be joined by Coop a Loop (bass), Gabe Preston (saxophone), Tom Pikul (fiddle), the Roxborough Orchestra (multi-instrumental), and more.
Other stops include Ring Street (next to Jake’s & Cooper’s), Fat Lady Brewing, The Goat’s Beard, La Roca, and Canalside.
At dusk, strollers should plan to stop by Cotton Street for an outdoor movie showing of The Sandlot presented by JD McGillicuddy’s.
July 20 will host the Joe Tayoun World Drumming Demo + Interactive Drum Circle as part of the MNYK Artbox initiative.
Tayoun, a local percussionist, will be leading a participatory drum circle and world drumming demonstration from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the MNYK ArtBox. He’ll be bringing a variety of drums for people to try out and play.
Lastly, eight-piece alt-funk group Henry Golden will take over the MNYK Artbox on July 27 and will highlight everything to do with the keys.
The performance with hints of jazz, soul, and moody pop will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
