Margo Ann Evasew, Manayunk Hair Stylist, Passes Away

Margo Ann (Sosiak) Evasew, 70, wife of the late Anthony J. Evasew, of Roxborough, formerly Phoenixville, passed away on Thursday morning, October 29, 2015, in the Hospice of Philadelphia, Falls Center, East Falls. She suffered from dementia for ten years and had previously survived terminal cancer until it returned one year later as metastatic cancer. She was born in Phoenixville, to the late Gladys (Beam) and John Sosiak.

Margo had been employed as a hairstylist, since 1973, at six beauty salons in Manayunk and Roxborough and had been the owner of the former “Its Hair” salon in East Falls.

Mrs. Evasew is survived by her son, Mark A. Evasew, of Plymouth Meeting; daughter, Christine M. Evasew; sister, Sandra Sosiak, of Phoenixville; granddaughter, Katie Lucier, of California; and great-grandson, Jamel Lucier. She was preceded in death by siblings John “Jay” Sosiak and Deborah Palmer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 10:00 am, at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 219 Dayton Street, Phoenixville. Officiating will be the Rev. John Hutter. Interment will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery. Friends will be received from 7:00 - 8:30 pm, Tuesday evening and from 8:30 - 9:15 am Wednesday morning at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville.
