Neighborhood Cleanup and Everything Else You Need to Know About Tuesday

Here's everything you need to know about Tuesday, July 23.

Neighborhood Cleanup:  Ivy Ridge Green is Roxborough and Manayunk's all-volunteer landscaping, tree-planting, cleaning and greening collective.  Every two weeks they meet two cleanup a section of the neighborhood.  On Tuesday, July 23, at 6 p.m. they will meet at the corner of Umbria and Fountain streets to get the cleaning underway.  Everyone is invited, and there are post cleanup drinks. 

This day in history: On July 23, 1903, the Ford Motor Company sold its very first car.  Also, the typographer, a precursor to the typewriter, is invented by American William Austin Burt in 1829.
