Respected Roxborough Journalist Bernie Scally Dies

Scally, known for his coverage of Northwest Philadelphia, was just 33

Bernard Scally, a popular Philadelphia journalist and staffer for the Roxborough Review, died suddenly on Tuesday.

Scally was just 33 years old, according to an obituary published in the Review.

Scally, who tried his hand as a political candidate with a campaign for City Council in 2011, spent nearly his entire career at the Review. He was known for his handlebar mustache and his distinctive state of dress.
