Roxborough HS Junior Wins $1.5K In Entrepreneurship Challenge
Junior Jonah Wood earned himself $1,500 and the chance to win much more at the "Shark Tank"-like National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA – A junior at Roxborough High School's entrepreneurial skills earned him an extra $1,500 and the chance to win much more, as he recently won first place in a youth entrepreneurship challenge.
Jonah Wood, a junior at Roxborough High School, was the top finisher in the Philadelphia NFTE Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge recently. And in earning first he not only got $1,500 in prize money, he also gets the chance to win $25,000 at the 2018 National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge in October in New York City.
Wood won for Cast Vocation, which is a service used through an app that connects businesses with people looking for a temporary job. Wood thought of this business idea to help people like himself gain access to more work opportunities.

The Philadelphia business plan competition was featured local high school students who completed the in-school entrepreneurship class offered by NFTE (Network For Teaching Entrepreneurship) and showed their command of the entrepreneurial mindset by presenting and defending their business plans to local business leaders.
