Roxborough Man, Retired Philly Police Officer And Vietnam Vet, Dies At 68

JOHN W. 68 yrs. old, died suddenly on Feb. 2, 2016.

John was a retired Phila. Police Officer with 38 yrs. of service, member of the FOP Lodge #5 and the DAV. Veteran of US Navy, served in Vietnam.

He was an avid fisherman and blackjack player.

Beloved and compassionate husband of Jackie (nee Moore) Senior, devoted father of Tom (Gina) Senior and Denise (David) Ciavardone, cherished poppy of Dominic, Nicholas, Lilyana and Cara, best brother of Ann Marie (Joe) Whalen, Tom (Mary) and Frank (Jane) Senior, brother-in-law of Angel (John) Strazzullo.

Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing in Church Tuesday 9:45 to 10:45 A.M. followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M. St. Matthew Church (Upper) 3000 Cottman Ave. Phila. 19149. Int. Washington Crossing National Cem.
