Roxborough Memorial Hospital Gets $1.6M In CARES Act Funds
Funding is being provided through the CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief (HEER) Fund.
ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — Roxborough Memorial Hospital is getting a funding boost amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief (HEER) Fund has allocated missions to higher education institutions in Philadelphia.
Among the recipients is Roxborough Memorial Hospital.

The facility will get $167,758. Of that figure, a minimum allocation of $83,879 will be awarded for emergency financial aid grants to students
"Federal funding is continuing to come to the district as a result of the CARES Act, which I voted for on March 27," said Congressman Dwight Evans (PA-03), whose district covers Roxborough. "And I’m continuing to work to make sure that help gets to the individuals and families, small businesses and health-care providers who need it as quickly as possible"

In addition, Empire Beauty Schools in Pennsylvania will receive more than $8.6 million through the program, of which at least $4.3 million will be dedicated to emergency grants to students.
