It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of best friend, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother Nancy E. Catalfano on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Mildred Keller, lifelong residents of Roxborough. Nancy is predeceased by two sisters, Joan Ade and Mildred Kunz, and her brother William Keller. Nancy leaves behind her sister Susan Farrell and her brother Charles Keller. She is survived by her devoted, loving husband of 54 years, her son Joseph Catalfano, her daughter-in-law Nicole Catalfano, and three beautiful and loving grandchildren, Anna Claire, Aidan and Nolan. Serving first as an Administrative Assistant to the Administrator at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia, then as an elementary school library aide as well as main office secretary for over 25 years, she was meticulous and dedicated to keeping a beautiful home where everyone could enjoy a good meal, laugh and have fun enjoying each other's company.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Nancy was a member of the January 1965 Roxborough High School graduating class. She and her husband Leo (Mike) spent the first few years of their marriage in an apartment, then moved to Blue Bell, Pennsylvania into their first home, from there into their second home in Collegeville, eventually moving outside of Boston, Massachusetts to be closer to their son Joseph and his family. She was exceptionally proud of her son for his timeless devotion to his wife and family to his strong academic accomplishments and his impressive work ethic. As Nancy often and proudly remarked, Joseph was her “greatest achievement”. Nancy was also a devoted, caring and loving "grandmother extraordinaire" to her three grandchildren, who will always remember Mom-Mom for her "We'll be best friends forever'' slogan as well as her "magic purse" of treats. Nancy wanted nothing more than to spend time with her family and grandchildren teaching them to be kind, respectful and courteous to everyone. Images of her grandchildren waiting by the door for Mom-Mom's arrival will remain cherished family memories along with joyful family vacations and backyard family picnic celebrations. Mom-Mom was always the center of attention for her grandchildren, who never wanted Mom-Mom to go home and was the love of Mike’s life.
