Victim Robbed by Two Men with AK-47, Police Say

Surveillance video shows two suspects in the alleged robbery that occurred in the Society Hill section of Philadelphia.

Two men robbed a Society Hill man with a gun that appeared to be an AK-47 rifle, according to Philadelphia police.

The Central Detectives Division seeks to identify the two men seen in a surveillance video following the victim from a club in the early morning of April 10.

According to information from the Philadelphia Police Department’s Sixth District, the 52-year-old victim arrived home on the 200 block of South 5th Street at approximately 2:40 a.m. on April 10. After opening the garage and parking his car, he was approached from behind by the two suspects pointing the weapon and demanding his belongings.

Police say the men feld the scene in a white SUV with the victim’s wallet and iPhone. The suspects are described as the following:

Suspect #1: Black male, 20-30 years-of-age, medium build, mustache, wearing a brown jacket with a brown hooded sweatshirt underneath.

Suspect #2: Black male, 20-30 years-of-age, medium build, bald, goatee with a mustache, wearing a black jacket, tan pants, and a green/white scarf.
