$1.2M Water Main Replacement Work Underway In Springfield
Crews are working to replace 4,674 feet of water mains on four roads in Springfield Township.
SPRINGFIELD, PA — More than 4,600 feet of water mains are being replaced in Springfield Township as part of a $1.2 million project.
Crews are working in the township to replace 4,674 feet of aging 6-inch water mains with new 8-inch ductile iron water mains.

- West Avenue between East Springfield Road and Baltimore Pike;
- Cambridge Road between West Avenue and South Norwinden Drive;
- Ogden Place between Cambridge Road and the end of the cul-de-sac near #325 Ogden Place;
- and Springview and Rodney lanes between West Avenue and Barbara Drive
Aqua’s work is expected to be completed in May.
Final road restoration is expected to be completed by the end of September, weather permitting.

The new water mains will reduce the potential for main breaks, discolored water, and will improve water flow in the area, Aqua said.
