A Crime of the Season Hits Springfield Family
It's a crime that many people don't think about guarding against—until it's too late.
It's not an uncommon crime this time of year, but one that still catches a lot of families by surprise.
On March 25, Springfield Police received a report that a boy's bike had been stolen from the rear deck of a home in the 800 block of Sheffield Drive in Springfield. Police say the call came in at 4:55 p.m. that a black-and-red-colored bike was stolen sometime over that weekend.
According to the police report, the bike was not secured at the time of the theft.
