Delco Police Officer Killed in Fatal Shooting ID'd
Officials seek answers in the death of an off-duty Darby Borough police officer shot in his home over the weekend.

A Delaware County community has been left reeling following the shooting death of one of its police officers over the weekend.
Mark Hudson, 26, an officer for the Darby Borough Police Department, died of a gunshot wound to his chest after police responded Saturday afternoon to a report of shots fired at his home in Glenolden, according to CBS Philly.com. He was taken to Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Darby Borough Police Chief Robert Smythe told philly.com that Hudson’s death was not a suicide. Reports say that Hudon’s girlfriend was in the house at the time of the shooting and is being questioned by investigators. No charges have been filed in the case as of Sunday night.
