First-Grader Named Student of the Month

Azaria Sifontis is a girl on a mission and she knows how she's going to make her dream come true.

The Springfield School District's Student of the Month is a first grade student at the Springfield Literacy Center.  According to an announcemet on the school district's website she plans to be a teacher.

According to the announcement “she wants to go to college locally then become a teacher so she can help kids learn just like her teachers have helped her learn."

According to her teachers, Azaria is a delight to have in class and she loves to learn.

Her favorite class is social studies because she likes to learn about different cultures. Her favorite special areas class is Library where Angie Homony reads to students and listens to their interpretation of the story.
