Foundation Gets $500 For SHS Grad Scholarships
Bank gives money to help future Springfield High graduates with college.

Â
Almost any college student would find scholarhip money beneficial. That's why Beneficial bank is marking the opening of its new Springfield branch on Baltimore Pike with a $500 donation to the Springfield Area Education Foundation.
Foundation Board member Donald Mooney accepted the donation on behalf of the foundation Thursday evening at a ceremonial ribbon cutting and reception for the new branch, which bank officials call a campus. Beneficial President Gerry Cuddy tells Patch the donation is in keeping with the theme of educating the public about personal finances.
