Lane Closure on Route 1 This Week

The right lane of northbound U.S. Route 1 (State Road) between Rolling Road and Township Line Road in Springfield will be closed Wednesday through Friday October 9 to 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for expansion joint repair, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

This operation is part of PennDOT’s $2,485,492 project to repair and maintain several state bridges in the five-county Philadelphia region. James J. Anderson Construction Company, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general contractor on the project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
