Local Performers Sing on Capitol Hill

They are part of a group that inspires audiences at every performance.

 

Three singers from Springfield did something Friday that only a a select few get to do in a lifetime.

Patrick Clark, Maryjo D’Allesandro and Louise Kubicek and the other members of "The State Street Miracles" show choir performed for lawmakers and the public at noon Frday on Capitol Hill.

The Media Theatre’s State Street Miracles, a performance troupe of 14 adults with intellectual disabilities, spread the joy of music and dance while increasing awareness of the talents and abilities of people with disabilities.

The group travelled to Washignton at the invitation of Congressman Pat Meehan (R-PA7) and U.S. Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA).
